Importing Samick Sege takedown recurve bow

Hello to every one,

My self Mahesh and currently iam living in bangalore. I would like to import samick sege take-down recurve bow to bangalore, india. I checked with 20thNorth and shopmyworld guys, but they said that they cant import this bow to india. Can you guys please suggest me the way to import it to india. I believe some of the forum members might have definitely imported the recurve bows to india. Highly appreciate your help here.

Will there be any problems from custom duty people? If yes how to handle them? Approximately how much they charge?
How to pay the custom duty and where to pay that?

Sorry for these kinds of questions, i did not imported any goods to India previously.

My experience with the customs is detailed in this post.
You could specifically ask for Fedex which will cost a lot more than USPS but your customs duty should come down quite a bit.USPS ends up with the local speedpost so there is a difference in the customs clearance (though ideally there should not be).Fedex usually gets it customs cleared to your doorstep and any customs payable is paid on delivery.

BTW while ordering the bow in 3riverarchery website, there is a < Special instructions? Enter here: > box present just after the shipping address box. I think in this box i should explicitly request for Fedex. Is it right Raj?
