Re: Both shots fire same time
A double barreled shotgun is not supposed to fire both the shots at the same time. Either you pressed both the triggers at same time or something is not correct with the shotgun.

Re: Both shots fire same time
I would suggest not to fire the gun again unless the problem is rectified because firing both the barrels at the same time doubles the recoil which the Indian made shotgun might not be able to withstand resulting in some kind of injury.
P.S. How much did you pay for the gun.

Kulraj: Did you have a finger on both triggers? The normal sequence is front trigger first (more open choke), then the rear trigger. Try it in that sequence, and if it still doubles, find a gunsmith who can fix it.

Re: Both shots fire same time
Kulraj, a gun can be fired in any sequence i.e front trigger first and then the rear trigger or the rear trigger first and then the first trigger. There is no rule that says rear trigger can not be fired first.KULRAJ wrote: i press 2nd trigger 1st.
If by firing one trigger both the barrels are going off then there is clearly a fault in the gun's mechanism. Talk to the dealer and try to get the piece changed or get it repaired by a good gunsmith.
Just dryfire the gun to check whether both the triggers gets decoked by pressing one trigger. If yes, then it definitely need a repair.KULRAJ wrote: Is any one know any how i check the firing machanis of gun.

Re: Both shots fire same time
if you are not femiliar with a shot gun mechanism a gunsmith will do the job.
if you are adventurous open the mechanism and diy.
it should be easy if you have patience.

I would recommend not to open the gun at home because if you do so then the dealer will get an excuse and will blame you for the fault. It has been just three days since you bought the gun and fired it for the first time. You should get it changed or atleast get it repaired free of cost by the dealer.

Re: Both shots fire same time
There is a very good gunsmith in Faridkot who is specialist in shotguns. Earlier he has worked with IOF to manufacture shotguns. It is difficult to say what will be the cost. Only the gunsmith will be able to tell after seeing the gun. Rough estimate could be anything inbetween 1,000 to 2,000 rupees. I am sending his name and contact no. via PM.
