Badshah,
I can have my "Sardar moments" as Mack The Knife puts it.What is your excuse??A shotgun would be entered as a shotgun regardless of the action. Please look up on the net as to what is a shotgun and what is a rifle.

- And the gun has a magazine feed - it is not a clip feed.
Re: Bolt Action Shot gun
Also the guns had beech stocks.Walnut would be a waste on such a cheap gun.

Re: Bolt Action Shot gun
So you have to load the cartridges with a charger clip ? I don`t think so.
Yes several of the more upmarket US bolt action shotguns had Walnut stocks.......and some of them - I`m thinking of the TarHunt in particular - are anything but cheap !
Occasionally one even sees Webley .22 and 9mm garden guns with Walnut stocks.........It`s the case that there used to be much more Walnut around - and it was much less expensive.
I think that some bolt action shotguns along with O/U 12-Bore calibre rifles are just about the most butch looking firearms around. ( `Butch` as in purposeful/powerful/chunky. )

Re: Bolt Action Shot gun
Grumpy is spot on on this one. There is NO bolt action shotgun that is loaded with a charger clip. You do find the odd redneck in the backwoods of Alabama or Wisconsin or wherever who refers to a magazine as a "clip" but that does not make the term grammatically correct.
Mark does have a recent Mossberg rifled barrel gun that he uses for deer hunting. It is a nice gun and a basic one. The Tar Hunt guns that Grumpy mentioned are superb pieces of custom gunmaking and at a starting price of $ 2000 plus are not cheap by any means.

Re: Bolt Action Shot gun
Like I`ve previously said, I`d quite like a Marlin Model 512 Slugmaster......except that Marlin have stopped making them.....and I`ve never seen one in the UK anyway. Dunno what I`d do with it.......load it with sabots and try for some short range deer I suppose. That has got a Birch stock by the way.......`Walnut finished`.

Re: Bolt Action Shot gun
I think in the Indian context and the arms licencing nomenclature there is no mention of shotgun. Its either 'SBBL' or 'DBBL'. So the boltaction 'shotgun' would just be classified as a 'SBBL'A shotgun would be entered as a shotgun regardless of the action
But I could also be wrong.

Jonah,
Hellelujah.Praise the lord. You have finally got something right. It would be entered as a SBBL gun.The word shotgun indeed finds no mention in the Indian Arms Act or Rules.

A shotgun is entered as a SBBL / DBBL Gun and a rifle is entered as a SBBL / DBBL Rifle.
At ease!

Perhaps you should try changing your name to Disney.
