If it is sold on 85k, i will suggest to buy it. In UP it is @95k till now. Perhaps taxes r less in Harayana.

Why would anyone really require a 5 shot mag for the IOF? For a calibre like the .30-06 in civil hands (read non defense service guys), one shot should be enough for any application and just another for a back up.

Anyway in competitive shooting, which IOF purports this rifle is to be used for, magazines are not permitted.

hi katana its right you only need one round for application not even another one for backup for caliber like 30-06 but only if you are able to place your shot correctly on place you wanted to be.if one shot is enough why iof made it of three shots because when when you have to rapid fire in heat you only know your weapon is empty by trigger sounds when it clicks only its the same way when you go to nearby town and you know only 100 rs will be needed then why you takes additional ten thousand with you.every man exepets of something more you dont know when these two extra bullrts in magzine can save your life or of your dear ones thanks

hi guys if any one want to purchase iof made 30.06 rifle ithink its right time now.dealers are selling at rs 85000 per piece.in haryana liecensing authorty is not issueing new liecences or issuing very few thats why market has gone down and dealers had to drop prices.

I think the dealers are not having it, ASFAIK rifle scopes are banned in India, but if a dealer have it , definetly he will sell it.

Probably because they do not have the product and are making an excuse. Ask them for copy of such government order. If you search this forum you may find many people who have successfully imported scopes for their guns. AFAIK only if the scope is mounted on the gun or packed together with the gun then the customs have problem. If both are presented separately to the customs, then scope is considered as just an optical instrument.
