IFG on the go - Mobile support enabled

On the suggestion of IFG member choombak, we have enabled mobile device support for IFG via tapatalk. If you use any one of the following devices- iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad, Android & Blackberry, you can download tapatalk and user their software to access IFG on the go.

To download and install the app for your mobile device, go to - http://www.tapatalk.com/mobile.php.

Got the app for $2.99 from the apple I store. Works great and you can link many compatible forums and switch between them.

Mobile support has been further enhanced.

Even for those users who do not have tapatalk installed, when you browse IFG on your mobile device the site will auto-detect your mobile device and alter the theme to one suited for browsing on mobile devices.

Hi friends
I downloaded the 'tapatalk' app I don't know how it auto detects the site its kinda complicated. Someone pls guide. To be frank I used the mobile earlier for the site and I guess it was better or I am just being cranky cauz I am tired of trying it.

Hi I am using 'tapatalk' and its just fine. Here is what you will need to do assuming you are using an iphone
1. Search for the forum by going to 'search'
2. once the 'Indians for Guns' forum is located click on it.
3. It will ask u to login as you do on this forum. Once thats done it will show up in the 'Me' section.
4. Every time you open the app it will show all the latest posts or you could click on 'Forum' to access the whole forum as you would on any desktop.
You can link many different forums on this app. Hope this helps

Ash, if you see the fresh information I added last week, you do not even need to use tapatalk any more (unless you wish to). The system has been set to auto-detect most popular mobile browsers and reformat the layout for ease of use on mobile devices. So just open www.indiansforguns.com on your mobile device and use it like you would normally.

In case the system fails to auto-detect your particular mobile device, please feel free to PM me for tech support on this issue; I cannot promise to have a fix for every scenario, but will certainly try my best to assist you.

I am having a problem accessing it on the mobile, it always loads the forum main page with all the groups but doesnt show me new posts, active posts etc. any way i can fix this.

Sniper, I've disabled the autodetect mobile device feature as that was not allowing mobile device users to choose between the mobile style and the default (full) style. Please check and see if it is working now.

Mobile device users can now (manually) switch to the mobile style by using the following URL - http://www.indiansforguns.com/index.php?style=5

P.S. - If you wish to see "new posts" using the mobile style, bookmark the following link(s) on your mobile device:

http://www.indiansforguns.com/search.php?style=5&search_id=newposts - use this link to switch from default style to mobile style and directly go to "new posts". If not logged in, you will be prompted for your username/ password.

http://www.indiansforguns.com/search.php?search_id=newposts - use this link if your mobile device continues to (by default) display the website in the mobile style (may still be the case in some phone). If not logged in, you will be prompted for your username/ password.
