Most expensive handgun in india

Post by Bally-Sandhar » Wed Aug 17, 2011 10:40 pm

Dear fellows I have a question for you all out of curiousity. If someone can bring a weapon to india under transfer of residence, which one can fetch most money in Indian market. Please specify the make and caliber. I know a gun brought under transfer of residence can't be sold into open market. So I just want the knowledge. So please enlighten me with your knowledge about guns and Indian market.....thanks a lot.

I'd have said Beretta 92FS or 1911s but seeing both would be PB I'd advice a 'kool' one like Desert Eagle chambered .357 Magnum or any other handguns. BTW any imported NPB weapon would be sold over 8lakh easily as the sky is the limit for imported gun price in India.
When I'll get to shoot a gun?

Bally,
Desert Eagle .357 magnum was sold for 35L in Punjab a few months back. By the way what happened to your Ruger pistol ?

Dr Sahab, it is 35 Lakhs not 35K and If you don't believe me ask IFG member amit357 , he knows too.

Dear Bally Sander & other friends,
The price is hypothetical. A firearm imported under TR cannot be sold or transferred during the lifetime of the importer. There was a move of allowing transfer to immediate relation once the importer has attained the age of 70 years.I am not sure if the amendment to the Rule has been carried out.

If you bring a 600NE Magnum, you may get 1crore to 1.5 crores for it

Go for a .22 rifle, easy to get catridges.
rest of the calibre is costly as well as scarce.

thats a rifle cartridge. this is a thread about handguns.

secondly both the weapon and the ammo is cheaper than a 600 NE magnum handgun.

Wow!! What about a .45 ACP Desert Eagle, will that be NPB? I wonder how much that would cost.
