Any advantage for importing .22 air rifle in T.R as baggage
I have gone through most of the threads on air gun import, anybody in the know please advise me if there is any advantage in bringing a .22 air rifle as baggage while returning from abroad in T.R. ( transfer of residence) your advise is eagerly awaited.

I think that you cannot import 0.22 cal rifles to India even if its in your personal baggage.

What disadvantage are you visualizing? As the things stand today, only recognized rifle club members are allowed to import only .177 air rifles. If you see no disadvantage why not bring it along with you.please advise me if there is any advantage in bringing a .22 air rifle as baggage while returning from abroad in T.R.

go through them again.. Import of firearms on "Transfer of Residence" mechanism is only meaningful for "firearms" which are classified as such under the arms act.

can person who is not a member of the shooting club can also import an air rifle

1. The importer MUST be a current member of a Rifle Club/ Shooting Association as mentioned above.
