Royal Enfield Bullet

RD just blows out anything coming in its way. I have reduced Karizma and pulsars to a mere speck in my rear view mirror. Even beaten a Honda Accord on DND flyway. That was fun.

Very first time I experienced a power wheelie on RD that too on 2nd gear. I have never seen any bike made in India which would be still near before you engage the final sixth gear of this machine.

In US this bike was advertised as "One which would have 750 for breakfast"
Sometimes when I reflect back on all the wine I drink I feel shame. Then I think about the workers in the vineyards and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn’t drink this wine, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, “It is better that I drink this wine and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver.”

Here are the pictures of my 1967 Model Royal Enfield with Cast Iron G2 Engine - made in England :D I ride it on weekends purely for enjoyment. I took great pains in restoring this BULL - got to do few more things...

that a very neat restoration you have got done.
RD350, thats a real wild horse that too untamed, I was never able to lay my hands on one. Then settle with a CBZ. Its being 10 yrs and it is still going good. :)

i have a Royal Enfield Std 350 Cast Iron engine 2009 model... It was my dads gift for clearing my Company Secretary Intermediate exams. The best gift ever... The comapny had closed down this model rite within next six months when i purchased my bull... I was lucky though.. The bull has considerably gained demand in my locality... Old bulls are priced higher.. its always a pleasure treating my bull absolute royally.. Took her to many places. Alibag every six months or more frequent... Lonavla many a times... The most breath taking n exciting was the Solo ride of Mumbai To Goa and back. Now will be doing Chiplun guhagar on 30 31 of this month. Anyone willing to join me are most welcome. Ride will be starting morning 5a.m. from Ambernath.....

Regards
Prasanjit Baul..

Nice topic stirred a few strings and touched a few people. I have an Enfield Lightening 635 which are getting rarer by the day. Its been modified into a hard tailed chopper and the engine is a pleasure(pics posted in the pictures section). Thinking of putting the same engine back in a classic looking frame like SSmickey's.

Missed this thread earlier...

I have a RE Thunderbird TBTS too... this was after a long stint first with the Yamaha RD350 and later a Honda CBZ. This is indeed a royal bike to ride... sheer pleasure !

I've got five 350's starting from a 1959 Royal Enfield to an Electra to a beautifully modified cruiser...
and three 500's starting from a 1991 to the Classic 500.
I love bikes as much as I love guns...
Got a 1948 Norton 500 too...
Used to ride an RD 350 from 1985 to 1989.... committed the cardinal sin of selling the beast...

Hey Rover- Two wheels do move the soul!! have owned 2 bullets between 1979-84, got myself a stock RD 350 back in
84...had it for 14 glorious years and sold it ! the stable right now consists of a lil yamaha fz, a new CBR 250- an awesome bike with a lot of low end and mid range torque- and ....a ninja 650r should be part of the stable soon!

Hey that's great news...
Toying with the idea of getting the NinjA 650 too(I already have a BSA 650cc Twin) or...
should I go the whole hog and go for a litre class bike...
The Ninja 650 is good but more of a tourer...
The Yamaha R1... It's an out an out enthusiasts machine...
And then the Ducati Diavel... and the Triumph Triple...
Tough decisions to take... :) :) :)
