Re: Help regrding replica posseion
amit,
First please differentiate between blankfires and replicas. Both are two different articles.
Blankfires are rather contentious issues in our country. They are rather dangerous articles and serve no purpose other than in the entertainment industry. The only state I'm told where certificates are issued to authenticate them, is Maharashtra. Apart from that no state govt issues such certificates. Again, this is my own input. I may be wrong here.
Replicas are are just that......replicas. They do not fire any thing whether blanks 8/9mm or real cartridges. All replica firearms need to be registered/ licensed under the Arms Act. I believe this is something that is known as 'Certificate 45C'.
Now back to your question. Which one do you possess?

Justice alone is the mainstay of government and the source of prosperity to the governed, injustice is the most pernicious of things; it saps the foundations of the government and brings ruin upon the realm - Sher Shah Sur, Sultan-ul-Adil.

Re: Help regrding replica posseion
I had the opportunity to discuss blank fire arms with an official of the Customs whom I was meeting for some other matter. In passing he mentioned rejecting import of a blank fire pistol. The official was clear - we need a NOC from the police stating that they do not object to the importer importing a blank fire arm. Since such a certificate was not forthcoming the import was rejected and the goods confiscated.
