Gun shops in Lucern , CH
Switzerland has some amazing gun shops . If we leave aside Zurich - where there are three very good ones that I know of , the streets of Lucern unfolded 2 gems . One was Zimmermann Waffen Und Jagdoptik AG in Winkelreidstrasse . This is in the lane oppsite to Astoria hotel . The other one was in downtown - just next to panorama called Stampfli Waffen AG .
Zimmerman had single action and double action revolvers - some were more than 100 years old . wide collection of glocks / 1911s / sigs - two desert eagles and a huge collection of shottys . They also have a brilliant knife and machette collection . I picked up a nice knife for 39 CHF .
Stampfli has hunting gear , clothes , surefire torches , katanas , swords , scopes , rifles, spare mags - The works . this one is more of a shop for hunters . I picked up a nice Hawke sport Optics 3.9 X 40 scope( 180 CHF ) and hawke high mounts( 40 CHF ) for my BRNO from there .Very nice staff / owners in both shops . I fired the Desert eagle and was surprised that the recoil was much less than I expected from a pistol of that size . It is an impractical pistol for concealed carry though - it is too big to be concealed .
Both shops had automatic rifles / shottys / bolt action rifles of various calibres and both were kind of pop and mom shops . I sighed at the thought that I could not buy any from that gorgeous collection.
This info is provided for the lucky few in this forum who live in countries were firearm import is not restricted and who may visit Lucerne sometime and may like to have a look .
BTW - Abhi advised me Dr.Optics scopes - I could not find the fixed 4X one for my 0.22 and the variable was WAY out of my budget - more than 700 CHF .

Don't lose heart. Most people manage with a budget scope for their .22s. A humble air rifle scope will do just as well. The best recommendation is the Simmons WTC series, particularly the 1.5x20. That should fit your finances nicely.joydeepm wrote:

Else, go second hand. Scopes are more expensive in Europe anyway

joydeep,
You travel all the way to Switzerland and end up buying a Chinese made POS.No joy at all.An expensive scope turns out to be pretty inexpensive in the long run.A fixed power scope is pretty tough and considering Indian conditions( wide variations in temperature, dust that can and will get into even locked bank vaults and no possibility of service or repair) ,more appropriate. If you do not wish to spend a lot of money look around for Hungarian made S&B 6x42 scope. If you need a variable power Zeiss Duralyt range is worth a look.
