Thanks. Do you have any info on Twin Cities Ordnance or Precision Delta?
Katana, the TCAAP (Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant) is about an hour and a half from where I live. As far as I can tell, it was shut down after WW2 and reopened for the Korean War. The ammo you have pictured seems to be from that Korean War production run. However, if it has been stored properly, there should be absolutely nothing wrong with it.

I found these interesting photos showing the construction of and the manufacture of ammo in the Twin Cities plant.

Lately there has been much talk about converting the mothballed site into a sports complex for the Minnesota Vikings Football (American football) team.

An Interesting photostream on Flickr about the TCAAP.

I assume that this in reply to my question. However, CBC of Brazil (Magtech) has acquired S&B of the Czech Republic, not the other way around.

xl_target: From time to time old ammo turns up with dealers here. Since I have a .30-06 rifle (IOF) I often find myself asking dealers what kind of ammo they have in stock. Last Saturday I purchased some S&B FMJ cartridges from one of the guys. These of course, were new. After some time the guy surreptitiously asks me if I wanted to purchase some more older ammo, although I declined. However, my curiosity got the better of me and I asked him to show it. Obviously I checked the headstamp-PKB. I first thought that it could have made been in our friendly neighbourhood country, and then realised that their headstamps read-POF. That not being the case, I decided to check on it. Spoke to some guys locally especially the elder generation, but they were unaware.

However, I suppose the info provided by Olly is the closest with which I could link this headstamp, in effect that these are Eastern European made.

That's what I thought at first! And then it's availability in the civil market? Boy, don't want to get on the wrong side of the law!
