A "Beretta" from Taiwan

Post by The Doc » Tue May 31, 2011 7:48 pm

Gentlemen,

I came across this peculiar looking 12 ga revolving shot gun on the net . It has a 'Beretta' logo and 'Made in USA' stamped on it. It has obviously been made locally, a Taiwanese Katta I should say .
I quote the roughly translated article.....
This is the very large wheel shotguns, can be filled with 6 rounds of shotgun, the gun body are all constructed of steel, a short gun, weighing more than 3 kilograms, there is no rifling, can also be fitted sight, external trigger is not Buckle have no insurance, fill out bombs loaded on the mean, believe it or mistakenly pulled the trigger will fire, very dangerous.
black market prices have risen 200000-300000 yuan.
According to currency converters that is equivalent to approximately $6200 – $9300 USD

The comments following the article are interesting too. :)

The IOF should try to copy that and take the credit.... They'll probably find a way to botch it up as well.

..and since it would be more 'lethal' than anything else one would not be allowed to sell it for 25 years. They will also cut down production of 12ga ammo to compensate for the increased 'lethality' of the gun.... :)

Am just watching a 'How its made' and Beretta is on. Great machining. The IOFB Mandarins should see this.Hopefully they wont see the crude katta, and decide to offer a world class product to our already beleagured jawans

idea quite practical, simple to make, amo available a lot of firepower, and reliable too.

there were many attempts to make revolver with shotgun like load. most sucesful imo was Tunnel Rat's revolver made by S&W

also Taurus made few models
