cold steal espada extra large folding knife.

Post by kuwar » Fri May 13, 2011 5:52 pm

Dear friends,

I was looking for a large blade folder.
During my last post " 9inch folder knife" I was suggested to visit cold steel sight.
I have come across espada series cold steel extra large folder , with blade lenght of 7.5 inches.
Friends its an excellent knife one I was looking for but the price is quite high $ 470 without shipping.

Pls help on these issues,
Is there any other knife of this size which is resonably priced ?
Has anyone imported from cold steel what was the experience ?
Is there any notification or similar document to show that knife with blade size up to 9 inch is permissible in iIndia ?

Regards,
Kuwar.

470 USD without shipping, tax, duties etc., wow. Check out the Gerber" Rex Applegate" folder. Designed by Col. Rex Applegate one of the designers for the legendary FS Commando Knife and Bill Harsey who designed the US Special Force- Green Berets " Yarborough" Knife . The blades's large enough at about 5 inches . Check it out, and not as expensive like the cold steel, well priced for the pedigree and the design.

:agree:

there is a plenty knives for less money and of better quality. also you cant do same things with big folder as with fixed blade.

If I will be going to spend good amount for a knife I will go for sebenza folder
http://www.chrisreeve.com/sebenza.htm

or busse fixed blade

like BOSS Jack Combat Grade

The Extreama Ratio RAO would be my choice after handling it. It's rock solid and gives you the best of both worlds. Folding and fixed blade.

Bruno, have you seen this test

seems like not so understandable as it advertised, I'm a bit skeptical about Escrima now, after seen some negative reports.

Zero Tolerance - 0301 another big folder of high quality

Extrema Ratio RAO 185 is too good- rock solid indeed - it's a folder and comes with a special locking attachment that when incorporated can be used as a FIXED knife. Best of both the worlds.

I am a proud owner & It has never failed me where ever i have used and i recommend it. This knife is specially designed for & is used by Italian Military.

One of the biggest plus point is it's weight... & every knife is uniquely numbered (laser).

Best regards
