Post by gverma » Fri May 13, 2011 9:21 am

Hi
I know I can bring pellets when I fly back into the country.
I know I can order a .177 air rifle/pistol when via postal route
I know I can beinga .177 air rifle/pistol when I fly back into the country

Do we know the final call at this point of time if I want to Import .177 air pellets assuming the following
1. I dont have any import license
2. I am a member with a rifle association
3. I want to import this stuff for personal use

I am sure every one knows we are having a huge shortage of pellets.

Thanks
Regards
Gaurav

Yes.

Both .177 and .22 Pellets can be carried into India.

Postal route - I have experience of getting detained and finally the entire package got confiscated.

Checked in Baggage - Depends on the quantity and Scan happening at the entrance near green channel. If you get caught near the Green Channel, Customs will open your bag and do a complete scan. I was lucky as I had all the club papers. So it was easy to handle the situation.
