The theme is very cool, Oleg!

Check the sentence on the very bottom of the poster.

If you are thinking of doing some more along this line, check out Ben Kingsley's 2007 movie, The Last Legion, particularly the character played by Aishwarya Rai. She plays a woman trained in ancient Malayali martial arts. The movie isn't so hot, but the scenes might give you some ideas.

Also, check out Aishwarya in the movie Jodhaa Akbar, which has some pretty good scenes that might give you ideas, as well.

(I hope my IFG brothers will make allowances for my neophyte Bollywood tastes here -- I do like better movies, but these seemed to fit the theme of these photos of Oleg's, which I like a lot.)

Really impressive and powerful way of presentation by Oleg!

Nice poster.
A homble suggestion:
please change to "Why does New..."

Beautiful.
I visited Jhansi a few years ago and every where I went I saw some beautiful paintings of the famous "Jhansi ki Rani".
This one somehow reminded me of it.
The only difference perhaps is that the Rani had a "saafa" on, instead of a helmet.

Your feelings are not entirely without reason. One of the reasons is that Indians never had the tendency to suspect or question their leaders or government. Whatever the political leaders or government said or did, was accepted as a gospel truth by most people. Without applying mind or questioning them, voting them to power again and again only driven by emotions. Hence the misery.

‘‘...for it is a truth, which the experience of all ages has attested, that the people are commonly most in danger when the means of insuring their rights are in the possession of those of whom they entertain the least suspicion.’’— Alexander Hamilton

@ GBM, is this what in Hindi we call mai-baap sarkar!

@ Oleg, wonderful! We can understand it was the patriotic duty of the British administrators of this country (and the rest of the Empire) to disarm the populace and other means to keep the sun from setting over the Empire. Hence no blame attached to the individuals.

But what excuse do our own leaders have? Fear that we the people may overthrow them by force? Is this an admission of guilt - that the governance has been so lousy as to force people to take up arms?

Just a humble suggestion, can we look at having "Independent India" instead of "New Delhi" in the poster? New Delhi suggests that only Central govt is against RKBA, while in truth many state govts are even more against RKBA.

And can we use the images / posters as-is? Say on Facebook, etc., or as printouts, stickers? Putting a copyright line in your name?

Cheers!

Use the image as you see fit. If you like, I can provide a much larger file for printing and I will make the variant with "Independent India" for you.
