Today's Times of India carries a report on the opening up of various CWG stadia for mortals like us....including the new Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Ranges. Membership is open @300/- bucks a month (lesser than the last time when it was 500 bucks)... !!
Coaching is also supposedly available.
FIRST COME FIRST SERVED is the mantra they've adopted.... so hurry up...

Hi All,
Just became member of this forum..
I intend to start Air Rifle Shooting in Karni Singh Shooting range.
Please tell me that whether they provide the rifle and ammo on rent in the range itself or I have to purchase my own?
If they do provide then what do they charge??

Earlier they were charging Rs. 30/h under "pay and play scheme" and you have to bring your own pellets and target cards which you can by from gsmith pune or mastershot india

yes, now the policy is changed,
it is closed on sunday,
but, dont u think so, sunday was the only day, u can practise, without the fear of office,
well i have to write them a letter to request to change it again ?

Absolutely, rather if they can close it on Saturday, that will be better. Sunday should be open.

The PDF file says that the shooting range will open on May 2, 2011 and "Applications should be entertained starting 10 days before the start of the venue".
I am visiting Delhi sometime in the first week of May. I'm a complete noob to shooting in general - I haven't even touched an air rifle till now. But, I would like try before I decide to purchase an actual air rifle. I'm hoping that I will get a chance to rent an air-rifle at the range and shoot for a few days.
Update: I also attached File471.pdf. It contains the form for admission under Pay & Play scheme. It has a section where you have to get a signature from the school principal??? Is this optional?
