50th Annversary of Human Space Flight

Post by xl_target » Tue Apr 12, 2011 8:27 pm

Today is the 50th anniversary of the first manned space flight. On April 12th 1961, Russian Astronaut Yuri Gagarin became the first man to enter outer space.
While space flight may seem commonplace now, one must remember that it everything about it was unknown at the time.
It took a lot of courage for the first astronauts to face that unknown.
