I was surprised when I handled Visco SXS for the first time and it was because it was so light . It also has a cross bolt safety which indeed is a plus point . I thought the stock was a shade small for my medium frame. To be honest it was so light that I wondered whether the hardware was good enough for optimal usage, I remember checking the thickness of the barrels !! Also I imagine that it would have a greater recoil because of its light weight.

There is a dedicated thread about Modern O/U here.... http://indiansforguns.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=5302

Regards
I have heard that mandi gun manufacturers r making good guns. There was an article in newspaper in 2004 that it was a British gunmakers who set up unit before 1947 later they transfered the ownership to their honest employees in Mandi . I wanted to buy gun from Mandi but due to some reasons I bought Eagle gun.
I was offered a wide variety, if u have some good contacts in local administration u will certainly get excellent model.

IOF is better than Visco, and IOF for Rs,27,000/- is a good deal. Only see condition is good (barrel inside and butt is not broken).
