Very much allowed , .50 Action Express (AE, 12.7×33mm) falls under NP BORE.
Procedure - get a np bore pistol licence and search for Desert eagle Pistol and do keep us posted when you get one .
Best of luck.. :)

Yeah, as James said it's legal in India but be ready to spend more than 30lakh for it. I remember someone posting on this forum that one .357 Magnum Desert Eagle was sold for 30lakh. I think you really need deep pockets for that kind of guns in India.
EDIT: Also it would be older than 20 years in most cases.
When I'll get to shoot a gun?

Its a 2KG+ weapon with the mag loaded, over a foot long. Not concealable and ammo is expensive. Its a novelty weapon, might as well get a .50 BM to shoot at 10 meters.
The biggest baddest 'media' caliber is not always the most practical, accurate or fit for purpose. Also the ergonomics will not really suit you unless you're 7 feet tall or have really big hands.

Not to mention that when you fire that thing, you'd better hold on with both hands or its going to come back and hit you in the head.
I've fired one (about five shots) and the recoil is a bit more than most handguns.
Its not that it is really punishing to the hand (like a Scandium S&W snubby in .357 mag), it just seems to translate the recoil into a bit* of upward bias.

You can probably also buy the holster from Samsonite. I would recommend the optional "retractable wheels" accessory with that holster. :D

That's one big bully bore. I almost got hit with the gun by the recoil. My friend has 3 of those( don't ask me why) and I shot about 25 rounds with it and could feel the shots even after 10 minutes( we were in the woods on a hunting trip and this was the last day of the 3 day hunt with a nice big bear hanging on a tree)

well than why didn't you say so in the first place... instead of going into the fanciful Desert Eagle flight?

Any hand gun, any price?...that's not difficult in India.

Keep track or rather browse through the for-sale section in the bottom of the page.

it can only be dream for us indians.
Er.danish,i doubt you can get that pistol into india, even if you manage a pb licence.plus availability of ammo is a big question.By the time you get all this sorted out, you will too old handle the recoil.

Are you obsessed because of playing FPS games in Play Station ? if NOT then better you come back to reality. I had the opportunity of firing that beast in a local range in USA and almost from the first shot I realize this oversize junk is NOT for me.

DE got popular because of Various games just like Mr Bonds Jammomatic PPK. In Real Life scenerio its hardly of any use for anyone for every day carry and self defense.
Thanks and Regards,
