We should remember to include them in our prayers and hope that they are able to successfully tide over this crisis.

My bro in law is in Japan. Had a harrowing escape. Fortunately his wife is in India.

On a lighter side, hope the Miroku factory is alright! Would be sorry to see the end of their shotguns. Don't give a hoot about the nuclear reactors though.

When I woke up yesterday, the news was about an 8.9 earthquake in Japan, with 60 casualties... and I was thinking, thank God the Japanese are prepared for earthquakes. By evening, the figure an estimated 1000. And today morning, a nuclear meltdown.

Lets hope things get better, soon.

And even for a country such as Japan, which is very familiar with seismic hazards, this super quake is extraordinary. My daughter teaches in U of Osaka and is fortunately safe.
What is worth noting is- that even with a super quake like this- the quality of construction in Japan is so high that there were so few casualties on account of collapse of buildings.

10,000 and counting. Biggest tragedy after Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Hope the land of the Samurai warriors comes out of this. Praying for the poor souls!
Cheers!

Personally I'm allergic to Japanese cultures with all those Hen**i, Child pornography, erotic video games, sharking, s**rm whaling etc. but I still think that was a very sad incident happened to Japan. Hope they recover quickly :)
