Recently heard that rules have changed.
Wonder what the rule are and what changes were made.

As an example of overcoming adversity, Karoly Takacs has few peers. He was part of Hungary’s world champion pistol-shooting team in 1938, when an army grenade exploded, crippling his right hand. Ten years later, having taught himself to shoot with his left, he won two gold medals in the rapid-fire class.

Now onto the rules......
The US rules don't apply in our scenario as far as I know.
I hear there have been changes to trigger pull weight in 10mtr air rifle open sight category
Also hear that 10mtr open sight will no longer be an event in the indian shooting scenario...especially Mavlankar....
If that is indeed so it will be shame as this will ensure that people without blackholes for pockets will be turned away/deprived/denied entry into shooting as a sport.
10mtr air rifle open sight category with the IHP N25 is the cheapest way to enter shooting as a sport. The next level is ISSF 10mtr (peep sight) with IHP compressed air rifle at 25000/-
These rumors if true are indeed worrying....

How much do aperture sight sets cost in India?
I had a question on sights too... after asking here (http://www.indiansforguns.com/viewtopic ... 50&start=0 ) and contacting some dealers near my place, I came up with a short list of Anschutz, Centra, and Warner. The Warners are EXPENSIVE, but apparetly the gold standard in aperture sights. The Anschutz 7020 seems the most common sight used on the .22LR. But apparently, they are not designed for use on big bore rifles. The Centra does duty for both, big and small bore. Which ones are used by competition shooters in India? How about airguns? Given the whiplash recoil of the springer, can these sights be used on springer air rifles too?
And finally, basic aperture sights (those without adjustable irises) are not difficult to build, are there no Indian manufacturers?

They cost a fortune

IHP had a very functional peepsight with its spring rifles in the early days.
Not sure if we can use springers for 10mtr ISSF air rifle. Never mind what scores you will have. The question is will they allow you to use one ? In western countries there are people who use FWB300S (a springer) in ISSF events.
