New addition to my collection (Modern O/U)

Post by denzilmatthew » Tue Mar 08, 2011 12:27 pm

Hi,

I brought my new MODERN O/U in 28" barrel latest model. Fired 10 shot didn't have any firing problem. Good gun but lack of finishing and of course the weight. But we have to compromise as it is very hard to get the new Shotgun unless we are renowned shot in that category.

congrats mr denzil matthew

i have the same gun but in 24 " barrel as am not up for long range shooting , i have bought it on 1st jan and it is very handy and good value for money.

buy a good convectors and snap caps for your gun and dry fire it with snap caps at least five or six times a day upto one week and you will find drstic change in smoothening of the safety lock and trigger.

it is a long term investment and endevour and i hope you gun will ever let you down.

Please elaborate on that. longer barrels dont equate to long range.

Thanks for the close up pics. esp the breech.

Its essentially like a sxs (common extraxtor). Hence double triggers and extractor model (non selective). but at least they have a top rib.
In another post there was an o/u from another jammu factory without a top rib.

Nice shotgun. It's 12 gauge, right? Also could you please take a picture of the shot pattern?
When I'll get to shoot a gun?

Hi,

I brought this gun from one of the dealer on order. He charged me Rs.28K as I brought two guns from him so he has given me concession other wise they are charge between 28K-30K. Also if you want you can get it from Ludhiana (Punjab) there they are selling it for Rs.28K. Very soon I will be posting range report also the patten. Its recoil is little heavy.

Regards,
Denzil
