These type of people are either supporter of Brady Campaign or someone who thinks guns always misfire. The guy who shot himself in the party was not aware of proper gun safety I think, maybe he even got drunk. hell, it was a revolver all rounds can be seen clearly without the need of press check.
And the other guy who committed suicide could have done it with ropes and knife, even razor blades.
The guy who accidentally shot himself in farm is not guilty I think, there are very few organizations who teach how to handle and take care of a gun safely.
Well, I'm not a gun expert but I think guns are just tools like knife, blades etc. I even heard about a man who died cause he accidentally cut his jugular vein while shaving, will the government block razors as they are dangerous too?

I think banning guns are just making their prices higher. I bet a Beretta 92FS (The gun of my dream) would cost 60,00000 INR here (If any pre-ban gun available)
When I'll get to shoot a gun?

I am sure that "revolver" in the report was actually a semi-auto pistol. Anti-gun reporters like to throw around technical terms, whether they know the meaning of the word, or not.

I don't know why you wise men are surprised.

I was waiting for something like this before NAGRI meeting on 7th. This is nothing but a well thought out strategy by CAFI and likes.

Maybe... I have seen typical 'movie gun experts' experts calling pistols as revolvers and few years ago there was a news on the front page of a well known newspaper titled "AK47- Lakshyavedi duratta 2 kilometer" which translates to "AK47- Effective range 2 kilometer" The article was about how deadly and accurate Ak47 is and how all firearms fall short in performance against the AK. In reality Ak has 300-400 meter range and is known for its bad accuracy. I think this thing completely shows how media gives wrong impression about firearms and misguides people. I hope its not a strategy of Anti-gun guys who thinks cops are faster than rockets to arrive at crime scene even before the crime occures :P

Posted my comments, got reply that comments will be posted after "verification".

Concocted stories have also been created by them. From where have they got that Arms Act 1959 says all applications must be disposed off within 90 days; if not done, the applicant will be deemed to have been granted one.

"The Arms Act, 1959, says it is obligatory to grant licence to any Indian citizen who applies for one, citing personal protection. Refusal to grant it will be unjust, provided the applicant has duly justified the reasons and adhered to procedures laid down. All applications must be disposed of within 90 days; if not done, the applicant will be deemed to have been granted one."

I will again say we are a democracy and every one has a right to express opinion. The way to silence your opponents and win this battle is to have more numbers.... NAGRI is the solution please increase the number of NAGRI membership. Send in forms and have friends and family sign up as well.
I dont dial 911... I dial .357
