You want more gun control? Use both hands!

Hi Shooter,
Of course, you are quite right, I agree; the original series was by Oliver Strange - they were definitely much, much better than the Frederick H. Christian ones that followed. Although all things considered, FHC did a pretty good job of carrying on OS's legacy of Sudden.
My avatar actually has both the author's names mentioned but the FHC's name is in a smaller font. I am very pleased that you brought up this topic although we are a bit OT. We were discussing this in another thread What your 'Avatar' says about you.. I'll try and put up some more information on Western Authors - should make for a lovely discussion!
Thank you for the clarification - sorry I wasn't switched on enough to get your meaning.shooter wrote:ththe original series of sudden was byoriginal stone.

@ shooter - sorry, didn't get the drift of your question, what original series were you referring to?

Hi Amit,
with you 100%. Most of the toys we played with we made ourselves, other than a few odd exceptions like a top or marbles etc. These activities gave us tremendous amounts of confidence, a can do attitude and a wide 'hands on experience' with life & living! So here goes - three cheers for the 49er's Club

Re: monster grizzly bear down
Hi Baljit,i am talking from the desi point of view, and really dont blame the kids for everything,in earlier days we could buy 200 ctgs from a dealer and spend the day shooting, either the 22s or the 12 Ga,today one is allowed 25 ctgs an year, and as far as the range is concerned, the less i say the better it would be,here in desi land Shooting ranges are the jagirs of the High and Mighty for use only by the high and mighty,i am sure that we could find atleast 50 shooters who are better then most of the guys shooting at the various international meets out of a POP of 1.2 Billion, why just shooting any game played this side of the Equator, but i am sure you would have seen the results from the last Olympics.
