Technically impossible , unless he forgot to remove the magazine , and failed to notice threre is a live round there which chambered when the slide returns back.

If you look closely, the slide is locked back but the mag was still in the gun (freeze it at 0.26). He then released the slide and pulled the trigger.

Yep, as I say otherwise it wont be possible , also he violated the basic gun seafty rule, "Always keep your finger off the trigger"
