pcp air rifles

Post by CKAY » Thu Jan 27, 2011 3:22 pm

Hi to all,

Can any one suggest which is a better .177 PCP air rifle to import the Benjamin Maruader or the Walther Dominator ?
Your valuable suggestions are welcome as aI am a novice to air guns and shooting.I just imported a Gamo .177 whisper air rifle with nitro piston and a Gamo
compact competition .177 air pistol.

I would recommend a Walther Dominator.
Daystate Buckmaster (Limited Edition 70/100), Walther Dominator, Diana 350 Magnum, Weihrauch HW50, Harrington & Richardson 20 Guage

Hi,

if you have access or means to pump the dominator to 300 bar than go ahead get yourself a walther dominator.. dont ever think that you can use a pump and reach 300 bar, its not possible.. i have tried using various pumps but i just couldn't reach 300 bar. if you are a member of a shooting club and have access to their compressor then its a different thing altogether. I think in India you should get a pcp with max working pressure of 200 bars, and also order a pump along with it.

cheers

Thanks for the advice and recommending the walther dominator. Can you please let me know the advantage the walther dominator has over the Benjamin Maruader.
I was told that the maruader can accomodate both co2 and air while the dominator uses only air.

Also will I be allowed to import a pump without any problems at the customs.

jkamritraj,

I have nothing against either the Dominator or the Marauder. Any particular reason for shortlisting these two pcps? There are other brands and models that you could think of.
