Pleae be safe out there
Friends,
Please be careful with your guns, it really pains me when I read such news.........as we have new members who like to buy guns we should also encourage them to learn basic safety of the gun and treat all guns as loaded all the time.
Delhi man accidentally shoots his wife to death
Thursday, 27 January 2011
New Delhi, January 27: A man accidentally shot dead his 32-year-old wife in central Delhi after she asked him to prove he knew how to use a rifle, police said.
“The incident was reported at 10.30 a.m. and the victim has been identified as Sunita Mishra. We have arrested her husband Pappu,” said a senior police officer.
According to the police, the incident occurred when Pappu, a driver by profession who married Sunita in 1998, was fiddling with a licensed .32 rifle that belonged to his brother-in-law.
“Pappu’s brother-in-law Ashok Pandey, who is a Railways employee, was visiting the couple and had brought along his licensed rifle. Pappu was fiddling with it when his wife challenged him to use it. He got angry, kept it to her forehead and accidentally pressed the trigger,” the police officer said.
Police said that initially Pappu claimed that she was cleaning the rifle when it fired accidentally.
“When we reached the spot, Sunita was lying in a pool of blood and Pappu first claimed that she was cleaning it when she accidentally shot herself,” said the officer.
The couple has two children, a boy and a girl, who were both present in the house when the incident occurred.

Guns usually do not fire "accidentally", unless they are accidentally dropped. There is always a person behind every accidental firing. People may "accidentally" fire a gun, i.e. accidentally pull the trigger.
Is it not curious, how stupid and irresponsible behaviour always becomes an accidental, or "cleaning", incident.
"Prevent accidents, DO NOT EVER clean your gun."

LOL, yeah! You folks will be surprised to hear how many cops, among other people, in the US have done this.Is it not curious, how stupid and irresponsible behaviour always becomes an accidental, or "cleaning", incident.
Modern guns (that have not been monkeyed with) will NOT fire till the trigger is pulled all the way to the rear; no matter how many stories you hear about "it just went off".
It is also amazing how many people have not heard of the "four rules".
These rules must not be broken when handling a gun.
1. All guns are loaded, always.
2. Do not point your firearm at anything that you are not willing to destroy
3. Keep your finger off the trigger till your gun is on the target.
4. Always be sure of your target and what is behind it.
It never hurts to repeat those four rules.
“Never give in, never give in, never; never; never; never – in nothing, great or small, large or petty – never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense” — Winston Churchill, Oct 29, 1941

Must be a .32 revolver/pistol than a rifle, like the article mentions.
Putting a weapon on someones forehead and "accidentally" pressing the trigger is crazy.
The owner (Ashok Pandey) should also be arrested and charged for leaving his loaded weapon unattended.

best to keep guns locked in safe with finger print scan and never show it to those who are not familiar with guns safety and use.
people who do not trained or accustomed with guns often tend to acts as lunatics.
most bizarre case was recently in 1000 ways to die Discovery program.
men take a leak in a forest, keep his gun near a tree, snake become interested in rifle and coiled it, when he finished and took his rifle snake squeezed the trigger and bullet him men's heart.
never point it anywhere where you are not intended to shoot. include yourself in the list
