My latest aguisition modern o/u
Hi friends
Now your friend is a proud owner of a o/u shot gun.The experience of shooting the kf cartridges was good but when i shot ball of shatian the jerk was pretty good. it had upper full choke and under barrel regular. Good finishing and economical bargain. cannot be compared with imported stuff like berretta and baikal but still a good finish and looks good . Tis gun was good eye catcher when i move around with it..

yes sir you can say that idea was wholly of mind but i always believe in ultimacy so i searched for the most capable cobbler in my city who can convert the paper and cardboard holder into same thingie in leather that can actually hold the weight of the gun in longer spells of holdin in rural conditions without tearing and damaging itself and my equipment....
there are two people who produce better things... one who can apply their mind well and other who can apply their hands well withou making use of his won mind and having confidence in his director....

Dear indigo_indo,
Congrats for new weapon. From where you purchased this good one and how much you paid for it?

Re: My latest aguisition modern o/u
i tried it in many shps near ferozpur but cud only find a suitable gun that went top in terms of finishing at a dealer in jalandhar , nanada gun house, goodd and co-operative fellow with good stock and merchandise... i bought it for roughly 33.5 k . it has short ( 24" ) barrel but i think if the barrel wud have been longer the price may have gone up.... . i evaluated rajput gun srice , khairudin adn this moden went right for my budget and looks...

Indigo
Congrats on the shotgun
"tis hard to hold a o/u gun for a long so a local leather smith made a side belt holster , i can draw out my gun in less than three seconds.." Your comment -- keep safety in mind basics keep muzzle safely pointed and fingers of the trigger and remember safety is a mechanical part which can malfunction so dont rely on it neither should you carry loaded shotty while jumping or moving around in a vehicle ...keep the action open ...

Thank you sir for your valuable advice... , i will always keep it in mind. how ever i never keep the gun loaded in side the holster and only do it when moving around without any intention of shooting or looking for a target. You are absolutely right tht more attachments to your gear are there more complicated it can be... so i will always be more cautious when handling the gun . this forum has made me more vigialnt and cautiois than i would have been without being a member to it...

Dear Indigo,
Firstly congratulations and thanks for posting the pictures. I myself was looking for this gun but it was not available in eastern india.
Kindly post your feedback re:alignment of both barrels..........I mean accuracy at 25 Mtrs with ball or rifle slug shot. what is the weight and woodwork finish.... If someone can tell me where can I find this gun in eastern region...... Keep posting your experiences with this gun.
regards

Hi Indigo,
Even if you call Shaktiman Shaitan, you aren't wrong. It is a 'Shaitan' (devil) only
Anyway, your gun looks great and don't ruin it by using these 'Shaitan' cartridges.

Re: My latest aguisition modern o/u
Bishnoi29: Whether the barrels are stacked or side by side, the "effective range" is the same. That depends on shot size, and particular cartridge, i.e. load.
Recoil is dependent upon gun weight and cartridge. "Perceived recoil" adds the stock dimensions to the equation. A SxS has a slight sideways component to the recoil. A poorly designed stock can add greatly to the perceived recoil.
By definition, a shotgun is smooth bored, no rifling. "Shotguns" intended solely for ball can have rifling, though they are not really shotguns anymore. Some makers have tried straight grooves, for various reasons, but it certainly has not caught on.
Rifled barrels in shotguns throw the shot in a ring shaped pattern, with little of the shot in the center of the pattern.
