Hi,
I am from Bangalore. I am an avid collector of airsoft pistols and have collected many of them.
As of late, most toy shops in Bangalore do not sell airsoft guns any more. Apparently they all say these guns have been banned by govt.
Even importing them from eBay or such online retailers is impossible as the gun may get confiscated by customs.
Is there any alternative means or processes to import these guns legally? Pls post replys if u got any suggestions/answers

Yes you can import them from hong kong or overseas. but you need to have a license to prove that you are importing for leisure/ sport. you need to be part of a shooting club for that. etc. and some formalities. there is a thread explaining the exact procedure to smoothly import it. anyway do u have any spring pistol u wish to sell? I am interested in pistol or rifle and my budget is 3k. i am from chennai.

Well Cruce, U r rit that we can import Airsoft guns from overseas, but as far i read from other posts in IFG, i came to know that u dont need any license or shooting club member to import these guns.. Those r all for Air guns not for airsoft.. But u will need to get NOC from nearest police station which would cost u around 5k for ur gun to be cleared from Customs after arrival. Thats the only thing which is proving costly now..
So its simple, Order the gun online, u will be informed for after arrival, get NOC for nearest police station, Submit the noc and invoice, pay the customs duty and walk off.. Say if u r buying a gun for 3000rs including shipping, u would have to pay extra 5k+duty to get the gun out.. Thats means, pay around 10K for a 3K gun..
