some pictures from the Netherlands
Hello all, here are a few pictures from the Netherlands.
Here is the result of a day hunting Hare and some pheasants.
Geese sitting near the side of the road on a bitterly cold day in December.
A nice picture of some pheasants, rabbits and hare.
Hope you like them.

how many guns?
was it a walked up or a driven shoot?
do tell us what is saught after game there? what are the shooting seasons?
what are the popular guns there?
is shooting there a social event like in the uk or a hobby?
i cant control myself, coming over to shoot geese.

You want more gun control? Use both hands!

These pictures were taken during the winter, our huntingseason is from the 15th of October til the 31th of December
During this period we can shoot Pheasant (both mail and femail), hare, rabbit, duck, geese and pigeon.
In Januari we can still shoot mail pheasants, duck, rabbit and hare.
We also have the oportunity to hunt for Fox. They are seen as a pest.
In our field we go for a hunt three times a season, with maximum of 6 or 7 guns. and it isa driven shoot.
Sometimes one or two guns walk along with the beaters to shoot a pheasant or hare what is trying to go backworth but we are 'civilized' shooters and are very happy to see a piece of game fly away without shooting.
We all use 12 ga guns over here,in the Netherlands we are allowed to use 12, 16,20 and 24. But because we cannot use lead anymore the 24ga is not used anymore. Instead of lead we now use Steel, Bismuth, Zinc, Tin, Tungsten and many mixtures which are all expensive. Tungsten is about 5 or 6 USD a shot.
The guns are a bit of everything, Side by side and Over and Under and every brand you can think of is used over here.
At our field it is a hobby, small group of people and we try to make these days, days to remember.
I hope this is the information you like.
Regards René

Re: Ban this user..
There we go again, Bro you are new to the forum, pls search on this forum. we have had this debate several times, some like it some dont.viks4guns wrote: hunting these helpless animals with your gun is no act of bravery/macho-ism
So lets not try force our opinion on others, as you can see, just like you there are other members who have liked the pics and appreciated it.
I would request you to search on this forum for the same topic and see, its a mix bag.
Its the love for guns, which has brought us all this forum, so lets stick keep that as our uniting power and not get into the debate of hunting being good or bad, we have people from both groups.
