blank firing variants of mil-spec in and around delhi??
Greetings fellow gun-nuts,I was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction pertaining to the procurement of blank firing variants of any or all of the small arms that are in use by our paramiltary and military forces. In particular the typical standard issues like the AK variants,Insas variants,FAL variants,sterling,MP-5 and its variants and ofcourse the browning hipower 9mm.... any dealer/manufacturer contacts would be useful as i intend on buying in bulk quantities.

bulk?? getting singles is a bit hard if not difficult. Blanks of some FA you have mentioned wouldnt be available too. you might get your hands on some bb shooters for those models at a premium price.
Browning or other pistol models would be available with dealers. you can check the sales post here for a few handgun (blank) models.

@thomast1-thanks a lot for the response, however we need actual blank firing variants(and in Bulk) in order to run a couple of war games using some classified simulation technology for our pmo's and pmf's.

Ishaan69,
Blank guns can be imported. There are couple of sites which ship to india.if you want to purchase them here in india, each piece would cost you around 40-45k. Importing is possible because all the sellers who are selling us are not actually manufacturing them..They import and sell them to us at a premium. Due to the price the online stores quote, i can say they are worth a try. Give them a try...
Warm regards,
Tony silas

Classified technology pmo/ pmf (whatever that means )? You mean you have access to classified tech but can't get your hands on the real thing? Which is why you want the make believe toys that look real but only make noise??!!
Wow, our country has just hit a new low... we'll not even give access to real guns to those who have access to "classified technology"!!

@tonysilas-Thanks a lot for the info, any websites you can suggest??
@thomast1 and @mundaire-well the pmo/pmfs cannot be disclosed as of now, however the simulator that im talking about is the SAAB force-on-force training simulator for MOUT applications, cannot disclose much abt it yet,but will discuss in detail shortly...and yes finding good quality replicas of our forces arsenal is something that even most force operators dont know about..let alone defence and security contractors....
@dev-no paintball guns cannot be accurately detailed, not to mention the unrealistic loss of trajectory or recoil and ofcourse mechanical moving parts.besides a part of the simulator-kit has to be fitted onto the weapon's muzzle, and its designed for actual weapon models.

I wont pretend to know what you are talking about, but replicas as in very detailed copies of AKs and MP5s are available in the US. They usually are either totally inert (that is they don't have any/few moving parts) unable to chamber or fire any cartridges or they are bb /airsoft guns that look on the outside like the real thing. Most of the guns you refer to, as used for firing blanks (especially in Hollywood) are actual live firearms converted to fire blanks. I do know of cap fire or plug fire guns that are basically low powered "blank" guns that fire a reloadable "blank".
http://www.wwiiguns.com/store/index.php
I cannot recall ever of seeing any replica automatic firearm that was a blank gun to begin with, except one or two WWII guns like the MP40 and the some Russian ones. As for your requirement, I dont believe any of the above will work.
Most force on force training takes place using actual live firearms converted or adapted to take a barrel & slide assembly that will fire Simunitions (a low powered cartridge with a plastic bullet filled with paint) or dedicated paintball guns that look and function like the real ones.

The ones probably impossible to get will be the INAS ones, all others you will get ones that fire bbs or blanks or caps or paintballs or nothing at all.

Re: blank firing variants of mil-spec in and around delhi??
PMO/PMF - If it stands for paramilitary forces / officers, then Mundaire's comments above are spot on! Why can't IOFs run off one lot of blank firers, or use blank cartridges on real hardware?
IMHO it may not be a very good idea to discuss these things on the open forum. MOUT - Military Operations in Urban Terrain - simulation packages from SAAB (www.saabgroup.com) look like stuff which governments purchase.
However, as per Wikipedia PMO/PMF can also stand for private military forces / operators, aka mercenaries. Ahem!

If ishaan69 is really working with Govt. security forces, it would be fairly straightforward to have the required items directly imported!

Re: blank firing variants of mil-spec in and around delhi??
I can understand that most paintball guns cannot be accurately detailed but why are you worried about trajectory or recoil; as there is no projectile used in a blank gun, there is no trajectory to talk about and recoil is pretty much nonexistent. If you want accurate replicas, you are going to have to use some of the higher quality airsoft guns though I doubt that you will find an INSAS in that configuration. You would have to take an AK replica and apply INSAS furniture and accessories as well as using some styrene shapes to change the silhouette.@dev-no paintball guns cannot be accurately detailed, not to mention the unrealistic loss of trajectory or recoil and ofcourse mechanical moving parts.besides a part of the simulator-kit has to be fitted onto the weapon's muzzle, and its designed for actual weapon models.
There are also some new paintball guns that are accurate replicas like this one here:

They even have a Browning M1919 mg avilable:
