Just returned from a 8 day trip to hunt caribou. Some pictures of the two animals I got.

What caliber did you use on the Caribou? Looks like there was quite a bit of snow on the ground. Long slog?
Excellent camo job by the Ptarmigan. Must have been hard to see him. :)

Looking at their heads seems You shot them only for ample tender meat . Good going buddy. You are one successful Alpha male who has managed to provide enough meat for the family to last a year or two.

Nice pics,Herb.Like others said, would love a few details like the stalk/hunt, rifle and calibre,bullet used etc. Thanks for sharing.

The shotgun seems to be a Baikal.

Amazing snaps. The spectacular wilderness in the background of the first snap says it all. Hunting in snow must be quite an experience in itself .
How windy is the place?
I assume you must have taken some long shots?
