I had applied for an arms licence in 2009,rejected by the East khasi Hills DC Meghalaya, reason stated that I have no reason for owning firearms, second attempt;tried to get retainer\co-owner endorsed in father's licences, rejected again for same reason+still studying(even though post PG student)!!!

So long people believe that having a firearm license is a matter of "need" or "no need", it will not be unusual to get such answers giving absence of "reason" for getting firearms license. RKBA is a matter of right and not some "need" etc. I have tried to explain this in detail at http://indiansforguns.com/viewtopic.php ... 85#p117785
second attempt;tried to get retainer\co-owner endorsed in father's licences, rejected again for same reason+still studying(even though post PG student)!!!
Whether somebody is studying or not studying is immaterial for Arms Act 1959. If someone is 21 years old and not disqualified as per Section 14 of Arms Act, he is eligible for arms license or retainer.

Dear,

We have again made an application for grant of Arm License before the Licensing Authority and if the same are refused , we are still ready to fight with this ccorrupt bureaucracy and incapable Judiciary up to the Apex Court of the Country.
