Post by Pran » Thu Feb 08, 2007 11:42 pm

A short fiction about a retired army officer and his attachment to his gun.

Damn, what a GAPP, 6 Lakhs for a H&H. Khan Bahadur got taken for a ride. A friend of my uncle's who heard from his cousin's nephew, that his aunt's brother-in-law had a Grandfather who sold a Brand NIB H&H cased in leather with gold engraving for a measly 1.5lakhs. Khan Bahadur shd've checked with Satpal the wizard before making this sucker of a deal.

I'm sure you realize my tongue is firmly planted in cheek. ;)

A H&H with gold-filled engraving in as new condition for under £3,500 ? I`ll buy every one you can find for that money ......... In fact I`ll buy every one you can find for several times that amount.

Grumpy, can I say you're not up to date on the latest on IFG.

Also, did you fall for it even after I wrote that I have written that "Tongue in cheek", or are you the one trolling now ;)

I`m not trolling mate - I`m trawling for netfulls of bargain priced Hollands !
By the way, does one always have to indicate that one is speaking `tongue in cheek` ? I would have thought that my request for cheap Hollands was pretty firmly `tongue in cheek`............. except, of course if someone wants to sell me guns of that quality for that money !
(   )
