Hissatsu as an EDC? whoah, I am not in Iraq or some such place,Subal.
Spyderco clipit Delica is too much knife for my EDC. Plus a Multitool in the glovebox. Major legal trouble for carrying a knife otherwise! Swiss knives are acceptable, so have one on my key chain-yeah, its a BIG keychain! ROTFL

Don't know how I forgot to mention these.
The Buck Strider 'Solution' is a great no nonsense knife thats built like a tank. The Buck Tarani folder is also very nice and has a great grip for many applications. Both are from my personal collection. As far as I know the Buck Strider collaboration fell through. So this knife is now out of production.
As you live abroad I guess its just a matter of going to the shop and buying what you want. Lucky You.
Hope you find your blade and it serves you well. Best of luck. :D

ZT0350 is good for me. If you going to study ninja staff Hissatsu is great for you.

James Keating said once during his mountain knife training camp: -
You often heard that knife fighters been treacherous people. Sneaky damn fighters. You've got to be. You are out cast by guns. If people know you have knife they will take guns, bays boll bats, pistols, rifles ... terrifying. So, to do your job, deception have to be very high on the scale. Much higher on the scale then your ability to do a perfect cuts. It takes a lot guts, it is all valid, but I'm not looking to make a perfect cuts, I just need the energy, the drive , the will and the ability to move on somebody and do it. That is on right side of path. On left side, dueling I will not pull weapon on some body who do not have a weapon.
cant see how the guy with Hissatsu in his hand will be performing deception

Deception- metaphor for 'keep your cards close to your chest' ?
again a matter of perception.See Naga's 'interpretation' thread for some great material.
then, there's that of quoted, least understood
"...reality is directly affected by our perception of it..." What Heisenberg meant and said , may still apply OUT of micro sense , what? If , in a self defense scenario, you lead with an empty left hand and draw and strike with your right-DECEPTION. whether its a 2 inch karambit or a 40 inch katana.
I admit, I will, if necessary, carry more than 1 blade = task specific.AND I WILL NOT-use a knife as a chisel or screw driver-so I carry a multitool for the fiddly stuff.

I see ... then you need a knife with black coating, less reflection - less perception - better for deception

By the way, great book about Mosad, - By Way of Deception, written by former Mosad agent Victor Ostrovsky.

The end customer has no use of the mosaic damascus in the form of bars etc. Its value is ascertained by the end result i.e. the knife, the design, work involved and the maker. It may be a combination of a couple or all of these. It is a piece of art and should be judged and appraised as such.

prices for Ed Caffery mosaic knives starts from usd 850, but you can buy and import mosaic stock bar from Ed as it is, or Ed can even forge it up to your desired shape and it is very affordable about usd 60-80, depends on blade length, plus shipment.

http://www.caffreyknives.net/barstock.htm

other option is to buy stock bar from Ed and send to another bladesmith in US (heltonknives.com for example) who will make knife and sheath for you, to make good knife in India may be not so easy.

Subal, almost a national pastime here.Read and saw pics of a 16 year old -tally for this year -630 pigs except a few with a 44 mag rifle, he has knifed the rest.
Yup, dogs are an essential part of the 'dogging' scene.

Naaw, dogs track them and possibly corner them-coup de grace with a good sticker. :D
hence the term pig sticker
