I hav had Already owned a gun similar to Wat Thomasan and Saif hav got some couple of years ago.. but all wer plastic... I hav had atleast 7 guns similar to that.. All ranged from Rs80 to Rs240 and none survived even for 2 months.. Worst gun shot around 12 BB maximum (life) and best shot around 50 BB (max throu its life). Good deal if u want to have it for just 1 or 2 months buts its sure it will break real soon that too the internal parts mainly cocking system..
Recent guns came with laser and flash light mounted.. Now the only thing i am using from them is those laser and flash lights. 
I too once bought a very different BB guns at pondy bazzar, T nagar (Chennai) around 10 years ago. the size of the gun was very small and looked alike WALTHER PPK. The gun was full plastic. The gun had no slider or magazine for loading BB.. To load the gun, there will be slider-lid (hole) on top of gun, u have to put BB though it, close the slider and Shoot.. The gun some wat effective for atleast 3 to 4 meters but not very strong.. I bought 2 of them and just costed Rs45 each.. And i would say those guns lasted for atleast 4 months (as it is of single piece) and shot around 50 shots until the trigger mechanism broke..
