Woohoo, what Fun! Shooting BP handguns for the first time can be such a revelation. How does your wrist feel after the Anaconda in .44 Mag?
I just know that you shot his Sturmgewehr too. What did you think about that?
Ok, I can't resist this one; if you keep your eyes closed when firing a shotgun, you aren't going to hit anything, mate.

Wow. Youve got some lovely old stuff MoA.
Did you actually hit the target with that Walker? .....Shooter. What recoil. Fantastic snap. One can actually see the sparks in the third snap.
If Shooter can hit the target with those revolvers. He can surely hit it with the shotgun (eyes closed). LOL.

It was beginners luck.

A big thanks to MoA who was a wonderful host as ever.
I have been a decent shot with long guns. but shooting hand guns over extended period of time made me realise that the shooting muscles for shooting handguns are much different than the ones used for long guns (despite them having 'pistol grips').
The recoil on the .44 anaconda was a lot, it still doesnt hurt. but what did happen was that the 'shooting muscles' grew fatigued and it was more difficult to hold the handguns steady. Hence the shots being all over the place.

I have also shot MoA's other guns (and also 'assault weapons') in my previous trips but we dont have any pics of those.
Moa thanks for the write up.

There are many more stories in the thread for instance the owner of the anaconda who has 68 firearms.
