Nice snaps hvj1. The Shikra hawks (A. badius) are more often found in pairs. Did you spot the mate somewhere closeby?

Are Shikras and Eurasian Sparrowhawks one and the same?? I need to check on this. No I was very very lucky to get the photo of this gent, who obliged me with a superb 'sitting'.

Camera is Cannon 550D with 55-250mm lens for close up & 18-55 lens for the political monkey.
