Why buy a 3 shot semi when you can have this.
This gun is the only triple barrell SXS i have seen.
It was made in 1882 by John Dickson and sons of Edinburgh for Lord Linlithgow.
This is on sale for £25000-30000 in London.
Another reason why I am posting this is because this gun could have an Indian connection and a historical hunting connection.
Unfortunately the sellers couldnt confirm this as they werent aware of the fact.
You see the gun was made for Lord John Hope and was then passed on to his son. now I am wondering if this was used by his son Lord Linlithgow, the Viceroy for the Legendary shoot in Bharatpur where his group shot 4273 duck in one day which is the largest bag of duck on earth ever. Did this gun, in a small way contribute to those numbers?
Maybe we will never know.
I would appreciate it if the members could shed some light on this.

I have seen a SXSXS Edwinson Green Shot and regulated by Holland and Holland in 16 bore had a single trigger with top lever release and it handled quiet well.I have also handled a 4 barreled 12 bore Charles Lancaster 2 Over and 2 under again with a single trigger and under lever release but was cumbersome.I think this shotgun is really interesting because its a rounded action and has 3 triggers (Not sure if thats an advantage) and I am sure being a round body it will balance very nicely and If i am not mistaken three little indicators above the safety and the side lever release and above all its a John Dickson!Interesting.
