Here is a good site which shows how to change piston seals on a HW 97K also has some good reviews on some other airguns..I believe its maintained by Mario, a friend of Mack The Knife

Mack The Knife,
I took my air rifle apart to see what the insides look like Smile The spring was a b^%&h when I put it back.Had a friend compress it for me while I put the pin back on.

Pran I'm impressed you could get it back in!

I have seen a spring compressor that looked like a large pair of scissors with a turnbuckle, it fit in the track on the bottom and would compress it when you turned the screw.

The next time I install a spring I will remember to take pics.

It basically consists of two C-clamps, a car scissor jack, a wall and my kitchen platform.

I was googling to know how to strip down the HW 97, before bringing it back and I came across the site and read a few things and he had mentioned that he had bought the TX200 from you. I figured you knew him..

None the less a great site and loads of useful information there..and great pics as well... Thanks Mario for hosting such a good website

BTW I have ordered the Vemon DIY kit from lloyd for the 97k, would be needing your help anyway to fit it in..then I would surely want to take some pics..
