Open Invite to Hunt in California
Dear Friends,
The hunting season is upon us and I am eager to get in the woods for some Colombian Black tail or if luck is with me for some bear too. I got both the tags. I wanted to invite all my friends here at IFG to come over and hunt with me here in California. I am not a guide or an outfitter advertising any of my services but just an enthusiastic, avid hunter and outdoors man. I know my wilderness areas well in the mountains and just want to have different company now as my hunting buddies are too busy with their families to hunt.
Happy Legal Hunting where ever you are in the world.

Re: Open Invite to Hunt in California
hey congrats on drawing the tag (s).
Thanks for the invite.
Do all non residents have to take the hunters education programme?
whats the programme/plan?
are bear tags much in demand or is it relatively easy for a non resident to buy one (like arizona?) Are foreigners also non residents or does that just mean american but non californian?
I might be tempted to buy one and accompany you as a hunter.
Thanks for the invite.

Here is some info for you and for more please check your PM,
Everyone who hunts in California must have taken the Hunters education course(it need not be in California but anywhere in the country)
Its a 10 hour minimum class, cost about $25
Bear tags are relatively easy to get but to fill a tag is more work
Anyone who does not have a California ID is considered a non-resident
You are Welcome to accompany me as hunter
Good Luck

If any of you are bow hunters and want to hunt bow season in ohio let me know,we have some of the best whitetails in the US here,I can shoot a deer here 50 yards from my house, lol and a deer tag costs 28 dollars over the counter and you can shoot 3 does and 1 buck here in this county. If you are from out of state or out of the U.S it costs 130 for a non resident hunting liscence and tags are over the counter. You can only use shotguns or muzzleloaders here in the gun season.

I was going through the net and looking for a place to hunt in Argentina and found they have some Indian species to offer. These animals had been taken from India a hundred years ago and have thrived there. The trophy fee for a Cheetal (Axis) was about $2000 and that for a Black Buck was $1000. The fee also depended on the size of the antlers. If you shot one with longer horns you payed more for them.
Is the "tag" and trophy fee one and the same thing?
or is the tag more like getting a permit and then paying the trophy fee for the animal you shoot.

Hi prashant. No tag is the whole thing.
What you will find is that hunting in US is one of the cheapest in the world. Hence a lot of tags are highly competitive.
Shooting on private land is of course, different.
Our buddies from across the pond might want to elaborate.

Less than 6000 rupees for a deer. Unbelievable.
Shows that their Conservation efforts are successful.
The law is effective and there is enough land devoid of human habitation to allow wildlife to flourish.

Please note that this rs 6000 fee is for non residents. Tag fee for a resident is even cheaper for a resident.
