IHP Tuned .22 Mod-35

Dear All,

After a long awaiting days (1 Month) now i got my IHP tuned from a very good friend.
Prviously i had tuned my ihp with g-smith spring & washer worked well for a year but now it is
more nicely tuned with Jim Maccari spring & original Diana Washer.with g-smith stuff i had fired several shots at 540 to 690 fps with variety of pellets but now it blows out the g-smith pellet high impact at 712fps to 786fps.
and as far as the vibration and twang of the new spring is concern it is zero not at all during cocking it doesnt make any noise only i hear is the spring cocked sound at last great work done.

I know this thread is useless without pics it will be done soon tommorow morning so wait all guys.
Spring used is Jim Maccari E-356 with Original Diana washer have seen this spring on my own and it is the longest spring as compare to the other springs which i have seen up till today more details will be flashed about spring tommorow as i am out of town and also the pics will be added of the same.I am very thankfull to my friend Raj who did this to my gun.

Cool man. close to the 800 fps mark. I think it should settle down in a couple of 100 shots.

Dear Ketan, its exciting to hear about your rifles performance, great indeed. Have you just changed the spring and the washer only, basically I would like to know the kind of tune your rifle received in detail.Waiting for the entire details.

Dear kb100, you mean to say that merely using the Tarantula spring would further enhance the performance of the rifle; as compared to the JM's E-356 spring, Diana's washer and a tuned gun as said by Ketan.

I wanted to add the spring to my TUNED gun. It is already running the Jim MAccari Seal, moly, grease etc.... I kept the original spring since I wanted to see how well/badly that works with the rest of the mods. So far no complaints! Dear All,

Thankyou everyone for all ur views The details of the tuning ar as follows:-
1) The IHP was nicely cleaned after opening.
2) The new spring guide is added.
3) The spring Tarantula E-356 along with Diana washer(The blue one)is added and all greasing is done.
4) There were 4 different types of Grease are available one for spring one for the parts of piston.
5) another one for oring & after evrything is done he also gave some liquid inside the barrel for cleaning.
And when i took the first shot the chrony was 729,765,738,795 and so on.but the one thing i like about the gun was the cocking effort
not much but about 35lbs very smooth for me as i am heavy built & 6.1ft tall it was just like hot knife in a pouch of butter.
today i,ll be reaching home after the ganesh vesarjan and will be posting pics soon.
it was G-smith spring & washer in my IHP previously the one end of that spring is(the diameter)was small & other was big no doubt they are also good
but as compare to jim maccari spring no question about it.

Ketan WOW! and congratulations.....you are, if i were to go by the numbers posted by you getting 27.44 ft/lbs! out of the .22cal IHP35 using GSmith 20gr high impact pellets!.....that is indeed AWESOME!...

You are up against another great German springer the RWS DIANA 350, arguably one of the most powerful springers in the world...here is a very very short comparison between yours and the 350..

RWS350
Swept volume - 70.8cc
39c x .131'' stock RWS spring
680fps or 20.54 ft/lbs with 20gr GSmith high impact

YOUR IHP35 .22

Swept volume - 40.3cc????
35c x .120'' E3650 tarantula spring
786fps or 27.44ft/lbs with 20gr GSmith high impact!!!!

youve' got quite a gun there buddy, happy shooting!

Dear All,

Thanks for the valuable reply the scope rail i had ordered from one of my friend john and rest the mounting & installation has been done by myself.
i didnt drilled the holes to fix the rail but JB WELD did the fixing for me it is nothing but an adhesive just like your araldite which fix two metals rock hard.
it takes only 24 hrs to dry & rest is history damn good.
