Satpal

Had an opportunity to work there turned it down. Texas have an open offer and who knows..Neelgai and chital are there so good place for hunting.

Grumpy

ID you are correct but I just love their country side Mcall valley, Sun valley, Snake river and Northern ID is breathtaking. Wyoming has great vistas. Boise used to be a reasonable place to live in and maybe still is. HP and AMD have a big presence there.

McCall is nice.....very nice. We have a friend who lives there. The Snake River has been pretty well ruined though - all the dams don`t help and in the summer it is covered with power boats, jet skis, canoes, kayaks - you name it. The Salmon River is superb.
Yuba City, the Sacramento River Valley, the Northern Sierra Nevada - all lovely.
Austin is quite a pleasant town.......Very different from Houston which is one of my less favoured cities ( ! ) Toronto isn`t so great either. There are worse places though......like Buffalo NY.

Well this quote sums it up best for o/u vs sxs
"There's something about a good SXS that just speaks of a better time. A time when men were men and women forgave us for it. And like my pappy used to say, "If God would have wanted us to shoot an O/U He would have put our eyes that way."
Cheers

A really nice pair of quotes Navi - thanks for sharing them.
Personally I`ve always wondered why my eyes are different from everyone else......guess I should be using an O/U.

Time for a reality check:

In the old days(better times) SXS was elegant and graceful both for Guns and Couples(lying SXS, walking SXS, sitting SXS etc..). Yet for real action gotta go the O/U route, everybody knows works for Couples, I say works for Shotguns too.

Daddy was not scientific. Hold a rectangular piece of 1X2.5" cardboard(approximates shotgun barrels) in hand sideways and then vertically a couple of feet in front of your shooting eye. See for yourself what shows the target better. SXS eyes work better with O/U barrels, notwithstanding what God wanted or what daddy said!!!

Cannot say elegantly as I am a person of very limited literary abilities, yet the truth is obvious.

Perazzi is very good, extremely reputed, lots of top shooters use them, but I love my set of Berreta Silver Pigeon O/U and will continue with them.

When I shot Skeet, I was using a Winchester Pigeon Grade 28" Invector Chokes. I still have it. Pretty OK weapon but I still prefer my Webley 30" SxS.
