tell about the atmosphere outside the factory. do we need to carry the bullets along in advance. some seniors here advice for this.as i heard there is fear of being looted outside the factory.

Bullets will not be allowed inside factory. You need to have another person with you, who will stand outside factory with bullets. I also heard there is fear of being looted. You can take "services" of agents who will not only help you with paper work, also "protection" from local goons(since they usually know the local goons who operate in the area). I bought IOF .32 revolver five years back and have fired almost 250-300 shots. Still I feel problem with the trigger. It is hard and needs good effort to shoot. I talked to few people who said that after firing few shots, the spring will become loose and then it will be easier to shoot......still i am facing same problem. any suggestion please?

I read on IFG itself on some thread that a trigger pull of at least 9.5 pounds is needed to cause ignition of cartridge primer in revolver. Other IFG members having fired variety of revolvers may also give the opinions, if it is true that trigger pull becomes less after use and still the revolver fires. I had also checked one .32 Webly Scott revolver, it also had an atrocious trigger pull.

All respected members I too wish to buy a .032 bore iof revolver first I wanted to go for .22 bore but my dad called it kabootarmar gun asked me to go for .32 bore but which is best among the 3 factories gun from FGK Kanpur is available after 4 to 5 months after booking at Chandigarh. Any idea about its working as I personaly have no experience with handguns. Iam more fond of shotguns and rifles.

hi, all

i just collected my rev. from fgk. after a waiting period of 3 mths. all process went smoothly with the help of Ram singh, though it was the time of last friday of ramjan. just a day before id.
the points to be noticed are--
1- they issued about 30 revs. before me. n all are rusty. i think they have a large no. of revs. in stock n they don't clean them after testing.
2- one of them was having defect in barrel later they had to change it.
3- there is a thick layer of rust inside the cylender n barrel.
4- the trigger pull is very hard even more then an average n they were saying it will get soften after some nos of firing though every body knows that the spring dosnt get soft even after a long period.

i've cleaned the barrel n cylinders with the brass brush so many times with spray available in the market n kerosine. the barrel is almost clear but still the cylinders are having the the rust spots inside.

i've also lubricated the all rev. with 2t oil but still the trigger pull is still very hard.

i request my all senior members to tell me the remedy for rust n how to soften the trigger ( is spring change advisable ? ) n which oil is suitable for it .

Rust can be removed, soak the entire thing in kerosese and scrub vigourously with a bronze or nylon brush.

mr. grewal is right that one cant refuse to take or even cant request to change.

rust is almost clear with wd40 & bronze brush but still some signs of rust can be seen in cylinders.

pl. advise the best oil for lubrication. & how to reduce the trigger pull strength.

Got my .32 IOF revolver mark III, within 2 months of booking from IOF Chandigarh. took 15 min for paper work and 15 min for the delivery . revolver is in excellent condition. need to buy amno should i go for the standard SA .32 long or imported (What make)?

KF ammo for practice and imported ( S&B is the commonly available one) for self defence would be my suggestion.

Thanks Rp, Got the delivery of my revolver from IOF Chandigarh. Booking opened on 21 july 2010, they have a limited booking , on first come basis ( 500 revolvers & 400 pistols) now the delivery time for a revolver is 6 months and pistol 2 yrs. There is a great demand for IOF revolver , I think over 400 have been booked.
