My DIY Gun Rest /Vise
hi guys,
i found some time to make my own gun rest for my pcp out of Teak wood .
The whole vise is made of teak wood to make it light weight and portable .the front and back verticals can move sideways to tighten the gun in place .the gun can be made angular after tightening by the middle verticl screw. the middle crew have washers to hold their position after tightening .the whole wood is polished to natural finish .most of parts can be disassebled for portability .
Now i use this rest for fixing the scope , for zeroing accurately and for general exterier oiling application and leave it as such in my room as display stand
Overall Look
Side view
My pcp on the rest
made few for my friends and they are happy .and willing to make for interested ifgians soon
Thanks
sankar

Great work and improvisation.... with a nice polish on teak sure will double up as a display stand.. suggest a better /neater screw jack but that is just the asthetics.... superb effort. Aren't we the ultimate jugadus...lol

Re: My DIY Gun Rest /Vise
Hi Sankar,
Its nice for purpose of display however I think the fore end needs some modification for providing strength. The screw and support is at the rear part which keeps the front kind of suspended position. I believe more modification would be required for ensuring the longevity and to use it as a bench rest.
Regards
