Even more Idiocy from the Nanny State.. this is Olympic

Post by MoA » Tue Aug 31, 2010 2:44 pm

The proposal from the geniuses in the UK is to replace Air Pistols with laser pistols (a.k.a Laser Tag type) in the 2012 Olympics.

Why? Environmentally friendly.. Where does this stupidity end?

us pistol team doesnt practice in uk as it is illegal :!:

They have to pass a special legislation to make it legal else dozens of athletes will be in breach of firearms law and eligible for arrest :!:
You want more gun control? Use both hands!

Why blame the British today, they left us "free" on midnight of 14-15 August 1947, for us to redeem our pledge of "tryst with destiny". It is we who still choose to cherish the quietude of slavery instead of the animation of freedom. We have failed to redeem the pledge of our leaders. Who is responsible we or the leaders?
The very first draft bill of rights for all Indians was a part of the Nehru Report of 1928, it was prepared by a committee of the All Parties Conference chaired by Motilal Nehru with Jawaharlal Nehru acting as secretary. Along with other basic rights to be enjoyed by every Indian citizen, was also the right to keep and bear arms.
The Indian National Congress in it's historic 1931 Resolution on Fundamental Rights passed at Karachi stated “This Congress is of opinion that to enable the masses to appreciate what Swaraj as conceived by the Congress will mean to them, it is desirable to state the position of the Congress in a manner easily understood by them...” “...The Congress, therefore, declares that any constitution...” please note these words - any constitution, “...which may be agreed to on its behalf, should provide or enable the Swaraj Government to provide for the following...” and various fundamental rights were enumerated, among which was also this one-- “Every citizen has the right to keep and bear arms in accordance with regulations and reservations made in that behalf.”
“Liberty has never come from Government. Liberty has always come from the subjects of it... The history of liberty is a history of limitations of governmental power, not the increase of it.” - Woodrow T. wilson
"If my mother tongue is shaking the foundations of your State, it probably means that you built your State on my land" - Musa Anter, Kurdish writer, assassinated by the Turkish secret services in 1992

GBM
Very nicely written. However, almost a decade agao, some of us were sitting on the shooting range and had predicted that lasers, will replace competition guns. They would be more accurate, and pollution free. Just an academic discussion, with none of us favoring lasers over guns.

GBM, GORA SAHEB CHALLA GAYA,BROWN SAHEB A GAYE,the secratary of the ALL Party Meeting in 1928,our late PM,is the person responsible for most what ails our nation today, from J & K to Aski Chin and most of the problems facing Northern India.
GBM,Gora saheb had very high moral standards,an Engineer working for the Kalka Shimla Railline shot himself after the longest tunnel on the route which was being made under his command at Barog collapsed, reason was that he couldnt bear the loss of time and money which his actions had caused.
The arms act introduced by the Gora's was an Act used for governing the Arms policy for people who they where ruling.Pakistan modified the same within 6 months of attaining independence. In India till the time Pt.Nehru was the PM the same was discussed, but the late PM wanted to be an Honrary Brit [though the Brits didnt want him] so no agreement was allowed and after that,it was not an issues accept to tighten the same and let the Act be feifdom of the DMs ,SPs and of course the Politicians.
The thoughts of a Political Thinker"PEOPLE GET THE GOVERNANCE THE DESRVE'
