Is it advisable Plating/Bluing new 32 IOF rev just for the sake of looks?
Please suggestions regrading durability.
Thanks and regards.

I understand that it is not advisable to Plate/Blue new firearm, but it is to be understood that the finish on 32 IOF is not very great and it wears with use & in a span of 7-8 years it look gaudy. In such a situation one has no option left but to restore its finish. I just wanted to know if any one tried plating it.
Cheers

Chromium or nickel plating would shine in dark and reveal the position of owner, hence I would avoid.Did any one try to do Chromium or Nickel Plating on 32 IOF Revolver. Gurus Your views please.

I have seen a variety of these jobs. Full nickel , two tone ( trigger and hammer black) and other "creative" experiments carried out on the poor old IOF revolvers. I immediately felt sorry for the otherwise workable handgun.ruger_rugged wrote:Did any one try to do Chromium or Nickel Plating on 32 IOF Revolver.

Each to his own , some people might find the full/half nickel job breathtakingly beautiful , I would recommend a decent bluing .
