Hi,

While surfing I came across this forum. Its really very informative.

I am interested to take membership at K.S.R.A., so I would like to get couple of information.

From some previous posts it seems that there might have been some sort of renovation going on at the Club.

Are they currently open to new memberships, for this though I need to take the training C.R.T. first

How long does it usually take to get the P.V.C.?

My permanent residence is at Calcutta, I have been working in Bangalore for past 6 years so will there be any problem if I approach for the membership?

I would appreciate if I get some advice on this.

Hi DJ... Most info you requested is already on the site, under the 'Join Us' link. Range should re-open in a matter of weeks. And yes, you can join now. Your address of 6 years in Bangalore should do very good, for the PVC which takes about 2-3 weeks. Call me sometime on my number (webmaster contact number on website) .. before Friday...

I just finished enrolling for the KRSA CRT course.

The whole process took about 4 weeks -- Collected PVC request from KSRA on the 12th of June .. Submitted it at Commissioner's office on the 14th of June (since 10th was the 2nd Saturday) ...Verification completed on the 26th of June... Called KRSA exactly after the recommended 14 days, confirmed that they had received the PVC, and went over and completed joining formalities on the 10th of July.

Saturday 12th June to Saturday 10th July - exactly four weeks

Hello Friends!

Visited the KSRA today for the third time in past three months and looking at the slow progess of work over there, does'nt seem that they are going to re-open it even in the next two months.

i just submitted the form for PVC. looking forward for the verification to complete fast.
one word about Mr. BMG Krishna, a nice person who met the 4 of us on a weekday, considering his busy schedule i felt this to be highly appreciable. working on Saturdays with no backup, i called him up the week before to speak about an alternate, he asked me to enquire the next monday. his assistant had to bear my calls every 30 mins for about 4-5 hours, , She said we could meet him on Tuesday, as he had some free time there. We met on Tuesday and we had a quick chat, verification of the documents and me and my friends were back with application and PVC report request.

Mr Krishna said the 100 mtrs indoor range is open, no idea on the trap and skeet ranges.
Sniper can throw some light on that, you there mate?..

I presume that would be the 10 Mtrs indoor range for the air rifle.
Trap and skeet was open when i was there last.

afterall its not the atheletics range! it is indeed the 10 mtr range..
