> Congratulations on your new acquisition - Looks great.
> I see a scope - what make is it? Hope its an ASR (anti shock resistant) built scope. These are specially meant for Air Rifles.
> A scope without ASR will not last long on an air rifle, because of the gun's forward & backward recoil.
> If you are getting it mounted with the help of 'Tirths', I suggest you get it tuned by him - you get more power & better accuracy.
> Once again, all the best - Happy shooting / plinking.

Hi Trammway
Congrats on your new gun - do take time out and enjoy it.
I wonder why you had not bought it through Aimco who have the prices listed on their site.
The only reason I can think of is that you wanted ' instant gratification ' and couldn't wait the 1 week it would have normally taken. I guess everything comes at a price.
Enjoy !

Hi Trammway, trammway wrote:It is finally happening with me I got my IHP/National 35 .22(5.5mm) Air Rifle, incidentally that is my first ever rifle / weapon. I got the rifle from Mr.Pandian and after a brief talk with him over phone and visit to his office, I bought the rifle + pellets(500nos) for Rs.5850/- (Rs.5000 for rifle + Rs.200 tax + Rs.650 pellets). I hope to get few interested people from my area to come together to start practicing the target shooting. My question is now, where to find target shooting range.
Over to people from Velachery/Chennai region.
Congrats on your new rifle. Lots of happy plinking to you.
Where did you get that rifle case and how much did you pay for it?

Guys,
For shooting practice I use a 1.5 x 2 x 1.5 ft carton filled up with newspapers .. I paste an A4 size printed target on one side of it. Its cheap n simple for 10m range to begin with, no mess created.
Hope its a useful tip off
Happy shooting buddy, keep in touch at this forum.

THE NUMBERS ARE ONLY A GENERAL GUIDENCE TO KNOW HOW MUCH WE HAVE SHIFTED THE SITE UP OR DOWN BY ROTATING THE SCREW SO THAT RESETTING AND READJUSTMENTS BECOME EASY.
WHAT I AM DOING IS I FIRST ALIGN THE FRONT AND REAR SITE RIGHT IN THE CENTRE OF THE BARREL THEN FIRE SEVERAL SHOTS, THE FIND OUT MY TREND AND THEN RESET THE REAR SITE(REAR SITE CLICKING)
HOPE YOU MAY FIND THIS USEFUL

Re: Got my IHP/National 35 .22(5.5mm) Air Rifle
I had been dreaming of buying it for the past few years. But I din't know where to buy it from. Fortunately I found out this website and came to know about aimco.co.in. But out of pure enthusiasm I directly went to Tamilnadu Armoury , (since it's near my parent's home) and bought IHP 35 .22 from them this morning. I know that it is a bit costlier than other places and 1 to 2k coslier than aimco.co.in. But I couldn't hold my enthusiasm ( aarva kolaru ) , and ended up in paying that extra money.
Since this is my first rifle, I like it a lot... Please let me know if you guys are going for any target practicing... I live in chrompet.
