archery

What to look for when buying archery equipment? I gave it a try this weekend and I really like it, I actually want to ask my parents for archery equipment for christmas. What exactly is it that I need to look for in a bow and arrows? Do arrows come with arrowheads or do you have to buy them? What's the difference between using a compound bow and a normal bow?

compound bow allows you to pull higher weight easy via a pulley systems(cam wheels)

Although I am not an expert in this field but the basics of all shooting sports is the same. First you need to look at the physical setup of your body. i.e. weather you are a left hand or a right handed person. Secondly at which level of sports do you wish to participate. Because that will decide that what sort of money do you need to spend on your apparatus . As far as I know there are number of materials used to make archery equipment , the higher the level of competition more expensive equipment will become . Start with the basic equipment .

@MRM:

Hi,
This is Sanand here. If you could pass me your details on [email protected], I could get in touch & we could coordinate over for your interest in archery.

I can enable the organization of archery over broadened service areas across the country. Mr. N. Arun Kumar, is an excellent archer & is doing a phenomenal job with his " Hyderabad Shooting Stars Academy" in Hyderabad.

India is just waking up to the potential of archery as a sport-de-loisir, sport of leisure, as well as a viable competitive sport. I would welcome more contributions to this post in similar regard, to enlist in all archery ranges & centres across the nation.

Hey Arian,

Equipment is not the issue. I would suggest, you get interested in the sport, shoot with borrowed, non-competitive equipment & see whether it is worth the investment. Once you're convinced, equipment can be readily purchased.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch, I would always help out. Feel free to email me: [email protected]

Cheers!!!
